Hey dibblego,

4ǝʞ
5qɹ '7qq ɟı

am I right? so King will be safe. Which means there is a way out for the King.

Woops, I'll take another look :)

Take two.

WARNING: HINT FOLLOWS

I was initially tempted to conclude that white's first move must not allow black's king off the h1-a8 diagonal (since check).

After abandoning this supposition, I met Her Majesty in Amsterdam at 2 o'clock.

WARNING! SOLUTION FOLLOWS

Raf, you are burning out my brain! I should sue for damages ;-)

I finally managed to do it, without reading any of the hints:

1. Qa2! 1-0

If ... d3 2. Rb4++
If ... e4 2. Rb5++
If ... f4 2. Re3++
If ... Bb7 2. Re3++
If ... Bc6 2. Re3++

I do find such a puzzle rather ridiculous though since in a real game it is of no consequence, white would win easily without bothering to calculate this. Fun though.
